Greetings!
Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts on rigor in the classroom and applying differentiated instruction. I am analyzing the two in the classroom as my action research plan for my Masters in Education. Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas as well! - Mitzi :0)

EDLD 5352 Web Conference
I watched the recording for the February 13, 2012 web conference. The main thing I took away from this conference is the difference between Web 1.0 and 2.0. Web 1.0 is informational and is a one-way communication tool. Web 2.0 is interactive and allows an individual to use tools such as blogging, wiki's, chat rooms, and so much more as a way to share information. Anyone can share their knowledge of a topic and anyone can retreive the knowledge that is shared. This can be extremely beneficial but one must know how to differentiate between what is fact and opinion. If a teacher chooses to use tools on Web 2.0 to allow students to research and share, the teacher must be sure to teach the proper internet etiquette.
